Cat’s Pride Natural Scoopable Cat Litter Review

Advertised Product Description

This is our Cat’s Pride Natural Scoopable Cat Litter Review.  Cat’s Pride Natural Scoop litter is unique in that it is made with 100% natural odor eliminators, so there aren’t concerns about harmful or allergy-causing chemicals in it.  Ingredients such as fruit and vegetable extracts help provide safe and effective odor control.  This also means that it is hypoallergenic, fragrance, and dye-free.  Despite this, it still guarantees instant clumping, low dust levels, and tracking, and is a viable choice for multiple cat households.  It is available in a 20-pound jug.

Who This Cat Litter is Intended For

This cat litter is intended for people who are in search of an all-natural solution for their household, and typically have a single cat or multiple litter boxes.  This is especially pertinent to those owners or cats who have sensitive smells and may struggle around conventional clay litters and the harsh fumes that they sometimes put out.  However, they want these qualities while not skimping on clumping and odor control.  Finally, this product is targeted at those who are on a tight budget and can’t spend a lot of money on a cat litter but still want adequate results.

What Makes This Cat Litter Unique

This product is unique in that it tries to combine clay and “all-natural”, which most of the time are considered somewhat opposite.  This is accomplished by using fruit and vegetable extracts instead of the normal harsh fumes and artificial perfumes present in many products.  While trying to meet the natural requirements, this litter still strives for good clumping and odor control all the while making sure it is affordable for most people.

Clumping Ability – 2.5 star

Initially, this product does a decent job of clumping but the clumps aren’t super hard and break apart rather easily, especially after sitting for a while.  Because of this, regular cleaning is highly recommended.  The particles are rather small so the clumps have a grainy texture and are generally on the smaller side, but can sometimes clump in odd shapes resulting in a bit of wasted litter.  If you have a busy litter box that multiple cats are using expect to go through a container of this product rather quickly.

Scent – 3.5 star

This litter has very little smell to it, which in most cases is a good thing, as a lot of the artificially perfumed litter that is on the market ends up being too powerful and pungent.  When cat waste is present it also does a good job of locking in the smell.

However, if you experience clumps falling apart from not removing it in time or from your cat accidentally breaking them apart then some of this smell can be released back into the air and it seems to take quite a bit longer to be absorbed back into the litter.

Messiness – 2 star

The small particles tend to stick to the paws of your cats and you will likely find a few randomly laying around the house.  This litter is also a bit dusty but compared to a lot of clay-based products on the market it isn’t that bad.  Most of the tracking will consist of stray dry pellets rather than caked-on litter so at least the cleanup is simple and easy but expect there to be quite a bit if you have two or more cats.

Value – 3.5 star

Overall Rating – 3 star

The Cat’s Pride Natural Scoopable Cat Litter Review earns 3 cats out of 5.  It is an acceptable budget choice for those who are more concerned with saving money than getting a premium product.  It does meet its promise of being a good solution for those with sensitive smells or cats that have allergies and if you closely monitor and remove clumps it does an adequate job of masking the odor but struggles with busier litter boxes and tracking issues bump it down a notch.
