Advertised Product Description
This is our Cat’s Pride Scoopable Scented Cat Litter Review. Cat’s Pride Scoopable Scented is a flush-friendly cat litter that promotes instant absorption and tight clumping while having a fresh, clean scent. It is also 40% lighter than many other leading brands. Low dust and a variety of package sizes are other benefits that Cat’s Pride believes make this a good choice for your next cat litter. It is available in 10 and 14-pound jugs, 10 and 20-pound boxes, and 22-pound canister.
Who This Cat Litter is Intended For
This product is intended for mostly single-cat households who are looking for a simple and convenient clay litter that is intended to create hard clumps that are easy to remove without all of the fancy gimmicks and exotic materials that some competitors have. They also value a litter that tries to meet these requirements while being as lightweight as possible to make general maintenance much easier.
What Makes This Cat Litter Unique
This cat litter is special in that it has a very straightforward approach to what it does. This cat litter hopes that its performance will do all of the talking. It doesn’t try to wow the buyer with special approaches to clumping and odor control, and rather uses the simple formula of good clumping, low litter odor and good odor control, and easy cleanup while still trying to be affordable to most.
Clumping Ability –
This litter clumps quite well. The clumps are medium to small-sized and the fine grains help to ensure that they are as small and light as possible while still holding up to their shape. That being said, the clumps could be a bit harder as some have been seen to fall apart while being moved or removed. This can result in a messy cleanup and the broken-down clumps sticking to the box and your cat itself. If you happen to try this product in a busy litter box there can be a tendency for the clumps to fall apart quite a bit and make a significant mess, so we recommend sticking to a single-cat litter box if at all possible.
Scent –
Being clay-based, this product smells like your typical clay litter that is injected with an artificial perfume. It is not the most pungent and burning smell in the world but it isn’t the most enjoyable, either. That being said, it does a good job of controlling cat odors and will continue to do so unless the clumps fall apart. And as far as we are concerned we will take a little bit of an artificial litter smell over cat waste scent every time.
Messiness –
Simply put, this litter is dusty. Like, really dusty. This is the price you pay for going with a litter that is advertised as being almost half as heavy at most of its competition. Expect there to be quite a mess while cleaning and replacing the litter and also anticipate dust to be tracked out of the box by your cats.
Also, the litter itself tracks somewhat due to its lightweight and small nature. It sometimes seems to stick to the bottom of the cat’s paws and be carried around a room which can be somewhat annoying. You can imagine how frustrating this would be if two or three cats are using a single box.

Expect to pay in the mid-priced tier online for this product. For a scoopable clay litter, this is average at best. We have found better performing litters in this price range but also many more expensive examples that perform similarly.
Overall Rating –
The Cat’s Pride Scoopable Scented Cat Litter Review earns 3 cats out of 5. This product does a good job of clumping and containing odor, but it does have some noticeable flaws as well. It is quite messy both from dust as well as clumps falling apart after several days. We also wish it was a bit more versatile and could be used in higher-traffic litter boxes. It is not a terrible choice but there are better out there in this crowded price range for your single cat.
