Advertised Product Description
This is our Nature’s Miracle Intense Defense Clumping Cat Litter Review. Nature’s Miracle Intense Defense Clumping cat litter is a combination of proprietary odor control technology and the performance of bentonite to help maximize odor protection. The formula is advertised as being excellent at clumping and very absorbent. Also, it is 99% dust-free. This product is available in 20 and 28-pound box, 40-pound bag, and 14-pound jug.
Who This Cat Litter is Intended For
This cat litter is intended for those looking for a clay litter with the expected clumping capabilities that we’ve come to expect in this material. Also, they are looking for something that has made it a priority to try to knock out odors quickly and effectively. Most of the time they will have a single-cat litter box or multiple litter boxes if they have a lot of cats. Finally, this product is good for the budget-minded individual as it is reasonably priced.
What Makes This Cat Litter Unique
This cat litter is unique because it tries to hit all points that one would expect and hope for a litter to hit. It advertises good clumping, long and effective odor protection, low dust levels, good clumping, and a great price. While lofty goals as a whole, we admire their confidence in their product.
Clumping Ability –
The clumping ability of this litter is spot on. The clumps are hard and easily fully encase the waste so the clay recipe that Nature’s Miracle chose is working. More importantly, it stays hard for a long time which means that cleanup is easy.
Only the necessary amount of litter is used when clumping so a box or bag of this should last for quite some time. However, the clumps can sometimes sink to the bottom and potentially stick to the box so be sure to be somewhat timely in identifying and removing the waste to avoid this.
Scent –
The fragrance for this product isn’t overly harsh. It is somewhere between the mixture of perfume and baby powder but isn’t super pungent so most cats and owners won’t mind. It does a good job of locking away cat waste smells except in the case where the feces and urine are exposed at the top.
In this case, a quick mix of the litter should do the trick. Most importantly this performance stays in place for quite some time, and even when multiple cats are using it (despite not being optimized for a multi-cat litter box).
Messiness –
Very easy clump cleanup as the clumps stay hard even when removing. As long as you get the clumps before they can settle then there is little concern of anything sticking to the walls of the litter box or the cat’s paws. There is a bit of dust (the 99% dust-free statement may be a bit generous) so tracking may occur. However, it is nothing major and this is to be expected of most typical clay litters.
Value –
This product varies on price online but usually is a budget-priced option. This is a great positive for this litter as it should be in just about everybody’s budget. When you consider the overall good attributes that this litter possesses, the nice asking price is just icing on top.
Overall Rating –
Nature’s Miracle Intense Defense Clumping Cat Litter Review earns 4 out of 5 cats. For the price, there is not much that can beat this product. The clumps stay quite hard, the scent (while a bit artificial) is mostly acceptable, cleanup is simple and headache-free and all for well under the price of other comparable choices on the market. For anybody looking for a simple but effective clay litter, we recommend this one.
