Who is This Cat Litter is Intended For
This product is directed towards people who have had issues with their previous litters not adequately eliminating all cat odors. This is especially the case in busy litter boxes that are often used by multiple cats. They are willing to make minor sacrifices such as dealing with masking perfumes and using a conventionally heavy clay litter to combat the strong cat odors. Finally, it is also great for people who are trying to save money on their cat products while still having a nicely performing litter.
What Makes this Cat Litter Unique
This cat litter is special in that it is one of the few available that is directly marketed towards eliminating both feces and urine. Sure, most litters intend to do that. But with this product, it is designed to tackle both in specific ways that Arm & Hammer feel will significantly improve performance compared to other products on the market. And all of this is available at a reasonable price, which many of the more aggressive odor eliminating litters available can’t say.
Clumping Ability – 
Overall this product does a good job of clumping. The clumps form relatively quickly and become quite hard which makes for easy handling and cleaning. If multiple cats are using the box then it is important to maintain the litter much more frequently because this stuff can get muddy somewhat quickly, however. You may find yourself having to replace the litter quite a bit more frequently when trying to accommodate 2+ cats in a single box.
Scent – 
Unfortunately, the “fresh scent” description that Arm & Hammer advertises for this litter is a bit of a stretch. The scent is extremely strong to the point of making it unbearable to be near the box, especially in a smaller room. It does smell of cheap perfume. Not only can it be too intense for owners but also some cats who are sensitive to intense smells might not be able to use the litter box. The cat smells are indeed masked but it is hard to tell if it is because the litter is covering the smell up or simply overpowering it through the scent.
Messiness – 
This litter has relatively little dust. As long as you give the product time to work, it hardens quite well, and cake on the side of the box is minimal with proper maintenance. As long as you don’t let it get to the point of becoming a gooey mess then there is a lot not much of an issue with cats tracking it out of the box or it caking to the bottom of their paws.

This litter falls in the budget-price range online. We love seeing low-cost litters and it allows us to more easily overlook any potential issues that they may have.

While the price isn’t overbearing there are other choices of similar cost and performance without dealing with the smell.
