This is a listing of all LitterMaid cat litters that have been reviewed and we also list what we think are the best LitterMaid cat litters with our internal ranking system. The term “all” is a bit confusing here because there is just the one! LitterMaid is typically better-known for their litter boxes and the many accessories that they offer.
However, they did go ahead and release a litter as well, which they target to be used with their automatic litter boxes. We recommend giving it a go if you happen to be using one of LitterMaid’s litter boxes, and even if you aren’t some people have found success conventionally using their product as well.

A Unique Background
LitterMaid is typically known for its famous self-cleaning litter box and not their actual cat litter. While this may be a turn-off to some, it also means that they have a more intimate understanding of what types of litter do well in litter boxes, particularly in automatic ones. Specifics of what works and doesn’t work can also be seen in their litter, which is designed to work with automatic litter boxes but can still also be viable on its own. Because of this, it is a great idea to try out their litter if you are venturing into the automatic litter box realm.
Combining Conventional and Natural
LitterMaid’s product is also atypical in that it combines clay and corn, which typically aren’t seen together very often in cat litters. Clay encompasses all of the traditional traits of cat litter such as proven clumping ability and relatively high fluid absorption while corn takes advantage of benefits such as being more lightweight, natural-smelling, and eco-friendly.

While this may be a bit small for those who have multiple cats, for slower litter boxes it is a great way to avoid straining yourself while trying to lug around heavy bags or boxes of cat litter.

Average clumping and typical odor control to go with manageable dust and tracking levels. While many products on the market can be described liked this, few have as high of an asking price as this. Specifically if you are trying out an automatic litter box then give this a go but otherwise we think you should keep shopping around. It is available in 7-pound bags, is comprised of clay and corn, and is available in the premium-price area.
Pros: Captures moisture quite well, very little litter smell, basically no dust
Cons: Clumping could be better, can be a bit messy, a bit expensive
