This is our Cat’s Pride Fresh & Light Ultimate Care Premium Unscented Hypoallergenic Multi-Cat Cat Litter Review.  Cat’s Pride Fresh & Light Ultimate Care Premium Unscented Hypoallergenic Multi-Cat is a lightweight litter that is intended to be used for sensitive cats.  The formula is hypoallergenic, perfume-free, and dye-free.  In addition, it still follows the 10-day odor control guarantee as well as a 99.9% dust-free formula while producing hard clumps and providing easy cleanup.  This lightweight litter is 50 percent lighter than most conventional litters.  This product is available in 12-pound jugs.

Who This Cat Litter is Intended For

This cat litter is designed for those cats (typically in single-cat households or that have multiple litter boxes) and owners who have very sensitive allergies and are often bothered by conventional cat litters, especially clay-based.  It is also good for people who try to avoid high-tracking litters but still want to have adequate odor control performance.  Finally, it is targeted for people who are willing to spend a bit extra on the right product as it can be a bit expensive.

What Makes This Cat Litter Unique

This product is unique in that it bases its design approach on being hypoallergenic, which most litters cannot say.  This obviously makes it more of a challenge to meet typical expectations of a litter such as good clumping, long-term odor control, and being as mess-free as possible, but Cat’s Pride is up to the challenge as long as you are willing to pay the relatively high price for it.

Clumping Ability – 

Overall this litter clumps very well.  Despite being a lighter, almost grainy litter the clumps come out hard and strong and are easy to dispose of.  In addition, they are small which means that a lot of litter isn’t wasted each time your cat uses the restroom.  This is helpful in making a container of this product last as long as possible

Scent – 

There is actually a slight smell to the litter, but it is so subtle that most people and cats won’t mind and a majority of the smell dissipates after a few hours anyway. There is definitely no intense artificial perfume smell like many competitors have.  The litter does a very good job of locking in cat smells and keeping them locked in for multiple days as promised.

However, it is still recommended to remove the clumps sooner rather than later as slight smells can creep in as it approaches that 10-day window.  We do recommend sticking to single-cat litter boxes because the performance can decline a bit if you try using it in a busy litter box.

Messiness – 

This litter does not track very badly and there is very little dust as promised, despite the litter itself being a rather fair grain.  This means that cleanup is a breeze and it can handle multiple cats going in and out on a daily basis.  As mentioned above, the clumps stay hard so they are easy to remove without issue as well.

Value –

This litter online falls in the mid to premium-priced category.  It is somewhat expensive, being a mid to premium-priced litter, but we feel it is well worth it and definitely recommend this product.  And for someone who personally or has a cat that deals with allergies, asthma, or other breathing issues, the peace of mind can be worth the money.

The Cat’s Pride Fresh & Light Ultimate Care Premium Unscented Hypoallergenic Multi-Cat Cat Litter Review earns 4.5 out of 5 cats.  This product does everything well.  It has some of the best clumping we have experienced and is extremely easy to maintain.  The dust levels and tracking are quite low and it should work well with your cats that have sensitive allergies, which is impressive considering how well it locks in odor.  It is somewhat expensive, being a mid to premium-priced litter, but we feel it is well worth it and definitely recommend this product.
