This is our Nature’s Miracle Multi-Cat Clumping Cat Litter Review. Nature’s Miracle Multi-Cat Clumping cat litter is designed to be used in households that have multiple cats and potentially busy litter boxes. It combines advanced odor control technology with the performance of bentonite to help quickly and effectively neutralized litter box odors. The clumping formula is super absorbent, which locks in moisture and makes cleanup a breeze. It is advertised as being 99% dust-free as well. It is available in 28-pound boxes.
Who This Cat Litter is Intended For
This cat litter is intended for owners who have busy litter boxes that are typically shared by two or more cats and are looking for a powerful clay-based litter that is optimized to deal with the unique demands of a multi-cat box. Also, they value the ability to clump and they and their cats are also alright with the addition of artificial perfume smells to help mask cat waste odors. Finally, this product is good for those on a tight budget as it is typically pretty affordable.
What Makes This Cat Litter Unique
This cat litter is unique because it tries to tackle the challenges of a high usage litter box without utilizing fancy and exotic materials and gimmicky tricks. Rather it tries to deal with the needs with conventional clay and clumping ability while trying to make a product that is easy on the wallet. This is a bit of a twist from a lot of Nature’s Miracle’s other products as they tend to experiment with other types of materials so we are glad that they also produced a clay product.
Clumping Ability –
The clumping ability is decent for this product. The clumps form relatively quickly but they could be a bit harder. There can be issues, especially in high traffic litter boxes, where the clumps could get moved around to the point where they fall apart. When this happens they can sometimes sink to the bottom where they can become a sticky mess. That being said, this litter does a good job of absorbing moisture from urine and you shouldn’t have to worry about any of the nasty paste forming that is common in some clay litters.
Scent –
There is a bit of an artificial smell to this product that is somewhat intense. This is probably the cost of admission for an aggressive litter meant for many cats but while we are being picky it would be nice if it could be toned down some while still being able to offer the performance it advertised.
It does a good job of covering smells as long as you are timely with clump removal and don’t let the clumps sink to the bottom and get broken. When this happens all of the strong cat waste smells are kicked back into the air which can be quite unpleasant. We do feel that it does an acceptable job of handling the waste from multiple cats as long as you can give it timely maintenance.
Messiness –
Dust is about average. It is there and you might experience some minor tracking because of it. As long as the clumps are removed promptly cleanup isn’t bad, but if you let the litter box get away from you the clumps essentially turn into a stinky concrete that will stick to the litter box and even your cat and can be very laborious to remove. We were hoping that the clay would be a bit more resilient than it is.
Value –
This litter is running online in the budget-tier area. This is a great selling point and helps us to overlook some of the issues we have discussed. While this cat litter is far from perfect, having a good asking price always makes the existing issues easier to swallow.
Overall Rating –
Nature’s Miracle Multi-Cat Clumping Cat Litter Review earns 3 out of 5 cats. We question the ability of this litter to handle multiple cats as it advertises without careful attention to the litter box, but there shouldn’t be any major issues with a single cat. The clumps do have some good points, but they are sort of like ticking time bombs. The price is low enough to give it a test spin but don’t be surprised if you aren’t blown away by its performance.
