Clumping Ability – 

The clumps that form from this product are rock-hard and stay rock hard for a long time.  This is true when it is exposed to both urine as well as solids.  The wood and corn concoction is very absorbent and little if any moisture will find its way to the bottom, even in busier litter boxes.  However, being a slightly larger litter granule than most, the clumps can be on the larger side which can make it harder for your cat to dig into it and it might be a slight turn-off to some because of this.

Scent – 

There is a unique smell associated with this product.  Since it doesn’t use any harsh chemicals it isn’t an artificial smell but rather more of a barn-like smell.  This by itself isn’t a deal-breaker, but not including some of the more aggressive odor neutralizers that some of the other brands have hurt the effectiveness of the odor control.

The easiest way to combat that is to clean out the litter box regularly, but it would have been nice to be able to go a few days without being worried about smells escaping.  It seems to particularly struggle with keeping urine odors in check, and it is common to experience hints of ammonia as well.

Messiness – 

Dust levels are comparable if not slightly below your average conventional clay litter.  However, the corn kernels are quite light and can be easily tracked out of the box.  In regards to clump removal, it is quite simple since the clumps stay very hard and very little fluids escape which means you shouldn’t have to be overly worried about having to scrape the sides of the box.

Value – 

Online prices for this product are being seen in the premium-priced tier.  This seems to be somewhat of a norm for the World’s Best Cat Litter product lineup and it is not something that is helping to support their case.

Overall Rating – 

The World’s Best Cat Litter Clumping Cat Litter Review earns 3 cats out of 5.  Both the clumping and absorbency shine in this product, thanks to the inclusion of wood fibers and corn kernels.  However, this comes at the cost of some issues with retaining cat waste smells as well as a bit too much tracking due to its unique material composition.  We wish the price was a bit lower and we would be more inclined to recommend this litter, but it isn’t a bad choice if you have the wallet for it.
