This is our World’s Best Cat Litter Forest Scented Clumping Cat Litter Review. World’s Best Cat Litter Forest Scented Clumping cat litter combines the great clumping and odor neutralization performance of their corn kernels and natural wood fibers with the refreshing scent of a forest. All of this comes in a package that is environmentally friendly because of no harsh addition of artificial chemicals while being flushable and mostly dust-free. It is available in 6, 12, and 24-pound bags.
Who This Cat Litter is Intended For
This cat litter is intended for both single and multi-cat households who enjoy the clumping capabilities that some litters have but want to go a more eco-friendly route with the materials used. This is also good for cats or owners who have allergies to the typical harsh chemical fragrances used in many products as this uses a natural scent. It is also good for cats who might have sensitive paws and don’t enjoy walking on harder granules. Finally, it is targeted for those who can spend a decent amount on a cat product as it can be somewhat expensive.
What Makes This Cat Litter Unique
This cat litter is unique because it combines both corn and wood into a hybrid composition. To make it even more original it then has natural forest scent injected into it, which makes it stand out even from other all-natural products. Despite this approach, the manufacturer still stands behind its ability to both clump and also stop cat odors in their tracks.
Clumping Ability –
Like most of the other World’s Best Cat Litter offerings, clumping is one of the strong suits here. The wood chips just seem to soak up all sorts of moisture and the corn helps to create solid, hard clumps that last for days and will hold up to both extended periods as well as granules moving around either via your cat or during removal. The pooling of fluids is kept in check as well even in busier litter boxes.
Scent –
The “forest scent” can be a bit hit or miss here. We prefer the lavender choice over this one but it might be up to personal preference. Also, we have noticed that cats mostly seem to enjoy the lavender scent as well. That being said, the forest scent does seem to help somewhat with odors early on but can start to smell a bit “saw-dusty” if you let things deteriorate too much. However, other than that slight issue the clumps keep most smells, both urine and cat waste solids, controlled for a suitable amount of time.
Messiness –
Clump removal is super simple and you will rarely have to worry about having to scrape off pasty goo from the walls of the litter box. This is a nice change from many of the litters on the market that include corn and wood as they can tend to get pasty rather quickly. Tracking is somewhat of an issue, specifically from the corn kernels, but they are easily identifiable and quickly picked up. The dust levels are about average for a clay litter (even though this isn’t a clay litter).
Value –
We are seeing common online prices often being in the premium-price area. Also, availability can be somewhat scarce which may further drive up the asking price.
Overall Rating –
The World’s Best Cat Litter Forest Scented Clumping Cat Litter Review earns 3 cats out of 5. This product has the same great clumping qualities we have come to expect from World’s Best Cat Litter and the odor control is serviceable (although we prefer the natural and lavender scent) but why is this product so much more expensive than the other examples? It is still a decent buy but if you have the choice between this and others we recommend the latter, especially if you can’t find it at a comparable price.
